  1. Ah, that explains it, we’ve got a Gen-Z or later compiling this list. This is why the only two films I agree with are It’s a Wonderful Life (barely, having seen it too many times for one lifetime), and Meet Me In St Louis (which one can never see enough but, arguably, isn’t really a Christmas movie). There are so many more classic movies from the bygone era of Hollywood – Christmas in Connecticut, Miracle on 34th Street, Holiday Inn, Shop Around the Corner – to name but a few, and found readily on Rottentomatoes.com.

    And to be a bit more current, Die Hard and Die Hard II (for those of us who, quite frankly, would like to blow this season away).

  2. Dear Margaret, you could easily replace Jim Carrey as the grumpy grinch. Go on with your die hard whatever and let the author try his best for heavens sake. Get a grip. A happy and blessed Christmas to all.
