Pin-up photos were everywhere in the 30s, so you can imagine that the creativity stakes were pretty high. American photographer Bruce Mozert knew a thing or two about making a splash, with his innovative and fun shots of models performing everyday tasks under water.
Mozert built a waterproof case for his camera and used condensed milk to create a smoke effect in the particularly impressive barbecue shot. And let’s not forget the models, who managed to hold their breath and smiles long enough to take these unbelievable underwater photos.
