Never heard of the Darwin Ice Hockey Club? I hadn’t either until this week. Our ignorance is surprising really, given that the club holds the world championship in this sport. By all accounts, they’re legends, having never lost a match. So Vegemite made an ad to celebrate the men known as “the pride of the Territory”.
Despite facing a few challenges (namely not having an ice rink), the Darwin Ice Hockey Club members don’t appear too concerned. I couldn’t help but think of ‘Cool Runnings’ and Jamaica’s bobsled team while watching this video.
