Are you risking your insurance claim being rejected? A simple error by an online cloud storage system could result in you being out of pocket when your insurance company refuses to pay. That’s what happened to a Perth man when his home was burgled. Believing he had all the evidence he needed to support his claim stored online, he was shocked when it was rejected due to the date and time stamp on his photos not matching his insurer expected.
This, it is claimed, was due to a glitch with the cloud storage system and is said to have left the man $187,000 out of pocket – $51,000 on the claim and the reminder on associated costs.
