Phone plans, flights, footy finals food, Father’s Day!

The specials that have come to the attention of YourLifeChoices this week include some great phone and internet deals, some Red Tail Sale specials from Qantas, and plenty of grocery goodness at great prices from your local IGA.

And with the first Sunday in September only three days away, any of these could make a great Father’s Day present.

Making a good call thanks to WhistleOut

Our good friends at WhistleOut have tracked down some excellent mobile phone offers that will save you heaps if you get in quick.

Take these offers from Circles.Life, for instance. Choose the $20/10GB plan with code WHISTLEOUT16 and get $4 off every month for the first six months. Or go one bigger with the $30/30GB plan, using code WHISTLEOUT22, and get $8 off per month. But don’t dillydally because these offers, exclusive to WhistleOut, are only valid until 8 September.

If you’re after a deal from a more familiar name, then have a look at this prepaid SIM deal from Optus: a $45 Prepaid SIM for just $20. This deal includes 60GB on your first three recharges (then 30GB) and data rollover up to 200GB. You’ll need to be quick with this one, though – the offer ends this Saturday (31 August).

WhistleOut can help you find great internet packages, too. One fine example is Buddy’s Speedy NBN 100/20 plan. Ideal for households of two to six users, this package is available at just $75 for the first six months (then $85/month). This offer is available until 16 September.

Red Tail Sale

Friends of mine have just returned from Paris and they are raving about the great time they’ve had. I must admit, their enthusiasm has activated my travel bug itch, and Qantas has come along at just the right moment to help scratch it.

Their latest Red Tail Sale offers flights to Paris’s Charles De Gaulle Airport for just $1899. That price applies whether you’re departing from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide. From Hobart, it’s just a little more ($1964) and from Perth it’s even cheaper, at just $1849.

If you’re more of a London lover than a Paris person, the Red Tail Sale still has you covered. Qantas has Heathrow flights from Adelaide and Brisbane from $1849, from Melbourne for $1749 and from Sydney from just $1748! Check out the full range of London flight options here.

Whether you choose London or Paris as your destination, you’ll need to be quick. This Red Tail Sale offer ends on 2 September 2024. That’s next Monday.

AFL or NRL? Either way, IGA!

For those of you looking to have friends around to watch the footy finals, a browse through the latest IGA catalogue wouldn’t go astray.

Sort out your pre-game snacks with Doritos corn chips and Smith’s potato chip packs (150g-175g) at just $3.50. And, of course, you’ll need dips for the chips. IGA has ZoOSh Dip 185g Selected Varieties for just $3.30, 55 cents off the regular price.

For beer lovers there’s a choice of Heineken and Great Northern, with a 24-pack of either at just $52.

And, regardless of which team gets the chocolates, you can make sure your guests do with a 520g box of Cadbury Favourites for just $11. That is less than half price.

Even if you’re not planning to have friends over for finals footy, these could make a great Father’s Day present.

You can look at the full range of this week’s IGA specials here.

To all the dads out there, Happy Father’s Day!
