Time’s running out for your spring clean

It’s 7 November, so we have only 23 days of spring left down under. You know what that means? It means you have only about three more weeks to get your spring cleaning done. But don’t panic – we’re here to help. At least in a financial sense. Get your house and garden in order might be a backbreaking exercise, but we’ve found some deals to help ensure it’s not also a bank-breaking one.

Start your spring clean inside with a couple of great deals from JB Hi-Fi, then get down to the nitty gritty with a huge range of cleaning products at Big W, all at half price. Once the house is looking spick and span, spruce up outside with this week’s Aldi specials.

JB Hi-Fi

You might be wondering how a famous retailer of TV and stereo equipment can help you with your spring cleaning. Well, JB offers much more than that. They offer hi-tech cleaning equipment that will blow your mind, but not your budget – and suck away all the dust.

Take the renowned Dyson V15 Detect Absolute Handstick vacuum cleaner, for example. This elite cleaner has a ticket price of $996 but this week at JB it’s been knocked down to $886. Or if you have a smaller house, try the Dyson V8 Extra Handstick for just $479.

If vacuuming is not your favourite thing, lighten your workload with self-propelling cleaners. JB has two on special this week. The ECOVACS DEEBOT N10 Plus Robot Vacuum is on sale for just $598. That’s an incredible $401 off the ticket price. Alternatively, there’s the eufy Clean Robovac L60 SES with Auto Empty Station, down from $799 to $577.

Check out the full range of this week’s JB Hi-Fi specials here. These are valid until next Wednesday 13 November.

Big W

Spring cleaning also involves getting down to the smaller, nitty gritty chores, like cleaning the bathroom and kitchen. These aren’t exactly exciting chores for most but, thanks to Big W, they can be much cheaper than they need to be.

In fact Big W has a host of cleaning helpers all currently listed at half price. Grab a 700ml bottle of Bref Power Active Gel Toilet Cleaner for $3.50 and a pack of Bref Purple Active+ Toilet Rim Cleaner pods for the same price. These are normally $7 each.

The cleaning bargain frenzy doesn’t stop there. Also on sale at half price are Shower Power bathroom cleaner, Saad Wonder laundry sanitiser and Airwick automatic air-freshening sprays.

Aldi

Once you’ve cleaned up inside, why not repeat the process outside in the garden? Aldi can help you with that via this week’s catalogue. You can start with the basics, with a pair of sturdy goat skin leather gardening gloves at just $8.99 and a range of aluminium garden hand tools for just $6.99 each.

Once you’ve cleared away all the weeds and debris, you can get down to the business of planting. There’s no better time than spring to pop some seeds in, and Aldi makes that cheap and easy with their range of seed packs at just $1.39 each.

Once the seeds are in, don’t forget to water them! This week Aldi has a 20-metre Aqua-tuff garden hose for just $19.99, with accessory packs at only $7.99 each.

And let’s not forget the front of your house either. A new welcome mat can make a huge difference. Aldi has a range of coir mat designs, all with PVC backing, for $12.99.

Don’t forget …

If you’re already busy with your spring cleaning today, or just in need of a break, don’t forget today’s date. It’s the 7th of November, aka 7/11, which means 7-Eleven’s annual offer of a free Slurpee or coffee is on. You can take advantage of this today only with any purchase instore.

Enjoy your spring clean!
