What are Aldi’s Special Buys this week?

Aldi’s Special Buys – the sometimes wacky deals available each Wednesday and Saturday – are a real hit with customers and are a chance to get a proper bargain. What’s up for grabs this week?

Whether you’re looking for a new barbecue, some snow gear or a bicycle – the item is bound to turn up as one of Aldi’s special Buys at some point.

The deals are launched online and instore on Wednesday and Friday each week. So, what’s in Aldi’s Special Buys aisle this week?

Bedding

Aldi is heavily discounting its range of bedding and linen. Top of that pile is the Estelle mattress in a box, available in Queen size for just $259.

The pocket spring mattress features a memory foam comfort layer and is finished in a polyester jacquard quilted fabric.

“Our Estelle mattress is expertly engineered with premium pocket spring technology, a layer of memory foam for enhanced support and a plush Eurotop design for extra comfort,” its description reads.

Queen size is the largest sized mattress available, but you can also get a single ($159), King single ($189) and double ($219) as well.

You can give your entire a bedroom a refresh too, with 1000 thread count sheet sets for $99.99, adjustable memory foam pillows for $39.99 and even a two-pack of black-out curtains, also for $39,99.

Meat

Awaken your inner carnivore with some epic prices on meat. Jindurra Station Beef Porterhouse steaks are just $21.99 per kilo and Ironbark Pork Loin Steaks are $14.99 per kilo.

Grab a 500g pack of Berg hot dogs or cocktail franks for just $2.79, or a 200g pack of their bacon for $4.39.

I am very interested in the prosciutto wrapped chicken breasts for just $9.99. Yum!

Tools and DIY

For those who like to get their hands dirty, Aldi is discounting a range of tools and DIY gear. In classic Aldi style, you can get a gasless inverter MIG arc welder for $179 and a combination 3-in-1 sander/jigsaw/angle grinder for a ridiculous $29.99.

On a more practical note, you can get a six-piece screwdriver set for just $7.99 (or eight-piece for $12.99), assorted rolls of duct tape for $4.99 and a dolly trolley – the wheeled board that a mechanic lays under a car with – for a low $19.99.

Alcohol

Aldi has a great selection alcohol and a lot of it is going on sale this week. First, a real blast from the past, 750ml bottles of Stone’s Green Ginger Wine for $9.99. I don’t think I’ve seen that ubiquitous green bottle in stores for decades. Who knew it was still around?

From the vineyard, Brown Brothers Winter Red in the 750ml bottle is $9.99, Squealing Pig Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc (750ml) for $12.99 and Sliding Doors Prosecco (750ml) for $14.99.

For those who like something a little harder, Cape Grim 666 Original vodka is $49.99 for 700ml, Reeftip Spiced Rum (700ml) for $42.99 and Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml) for $58.99.
