Hot Chocolate Fudge

Our Chocolate Hot Fudge is easy to prepare, and inexpensive to make. It’s also so versatile that you can pair it with ice-cream, drizzle it over pancakes, or add it to hot milk for a decadent nightcap.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 70 g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup milk

Method

In a bowl, whisk the sugar and cocoa powder together and then set aside. In another bowl, melt the chocolate and butter in the microwave and, while this is melting, heat the cream and milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Once steam begins to rise from the milk, whisk in the sugar and cocoa powder and leave at a low simmer; do not boil. Take the melted chocolate and butter from the microwave and stir into the cocoa and milk mixture. Whisk until it thickens slightly, about three minutes. Cover and keep cool. When ready to serve, reheat in the microwave as needed.
