The power of the people has never tasted so sweet! In a delightful turn of events for candy connoisseurs across Australia, Allen’s has listened to the impassioned pleas of its dedicated fanbase and has resurrected one of its most beloved lollies. After a noticeable absence, the iconic Peaches and Cream has made a triumphant return, now gloriously available in its very own bag.
The clamour for the return of this classic treat was no quiet whisper; it was a roar that Allen’s could no longer ignore. In 2024, more than one-third of all flavour requests directed at the Australian confectionery giant were cries for ‘Justice for Peaches and Cream.’ It seems that the nation’s sweet tooth was aching for the unique combination of fluffy cream and succulent peach-flavoured jelly that these lollies so perfectly provide.
The Peaches & Cream lolly, a nostalgic nod to simpler times, showcases Allen’s ability to create flavours that resonate with Aussies of all ages. The lolly’s design is simple yet ingenious, with a base of soft, creamy goodness topped with a dollop of peachy jelly – a combination that promises a burst of peachy perfection with every bite.
For those who have been missing this treat since its last solo appearance in 2019, the wait is finally over. Priced at $5 a bag, these lollies are now gracing the shelves of Coles supermarkets, ready to be snatched up by eager fans and enjoyed in the sunshine of an Australian summer.
Melanie Chen, Nestlé Head of Marketing Confectionery, expressed her excitement about the lolly’s return, noting that Peaches and Cream was the most requested comeback kid in the Allen’s candy lineup. ‘We’re so excited to be bringing a fan favourite back just in time for summer fun, festive party games and to share with friends and family over the holidays,’ she said.
Previously, Peaches and Cream could only be found mingling with other sweets in Allen’s Party Mix bag, but now, they stand alone, highlighting their popularity and the power of consumer voices.
