Ingredients
Filling
- 3 1/2 cups of sliced peaches
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
Topping:
- 1 cup flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- pinch salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 cup melted butter
Method
Preheat oven to 180°C.
For the filling, layer the sliced peaches in a baking dish. Ina spate bowl mix the sugar and butter, then sprinkle over the peaches.
For the topping, mix the sugar and flour with the baking powder, salt and egg, then spread the mixture over the filling mixture. Pour over the melted butter and bake for 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serve with a dollop of ice-cream, cream or yoghurt – whatever takes your fancy – and enjoy.
