What better way to warm up your winter than with our Simple Cinnamon Stewed Apples? You can add them to porridge, muesli, ice cream or enjoy them as they are.
Serves: Three
Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients
- 6 apples
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Method
Core and cut the apples into quarters. In a saucepan, add the apples with the remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook over a medium heat, stirring every now and again for 20 minutes or until the apples have softened to your liking. Perfect as is or with vanilla ice cream for dessert, or with your muesli and natural yoghurt for breakfast. Store extras in the fridge for up to five days.
