Time: 40 minutes
Ingredients
-
- 100g wholemeal flour

- 22g wholemeal flour
-
- 1 teaspoon bicarb soda
-
- 1 teaspoon sea salt flakes
-
- 225ml buttermilk

Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper and dust with extra wholemeal flour. In a large bowl, combine the two flours, bicarb soda and salt and mix well. In a smaller bowl, add the buttermilk and honey and whisk. Make a hole in the middle of the dry ingredients and pour the buttermilk mixture into the hole. Gently stir with a fork until soft dough begins to form. Shape it into a round loaf and place on the baking tray. Score a cross on the top with a sharp knife and dust with more flour.
