Roy Morgan has been busy this week. On Tuesday the research giant rolled out its ‘Most Trusted Brand’ awards across a number of industries. This included two categories close to the hearts of many YourLifeChoices readers – Finance and Insurance, and Retail and Consumer Products.
The big winners in the Finance and Insurance categories were Bendigo Bank, PayPal, AustralianSuper, NRMA Insurance and HBF. Bendigo Bank took the award for ‘Most Trusted Bank’, shading the Commonwealth and ING. It was the second straight win for Bendigo.
In the ‘Most Trusted Superannuation Brand’ category, AustralianSuper also recorded a second straight win, ahead of fellow finalists QSuper and Australian Ethical.
In the retail field, Bunnings was voted as the ‘Most Trusted Retail Brand’. For Bunnings, this too was a second consecutive victory.
KMart took home the ‘Most Trusted Brand in Department and Discount Department Stores’ also for the second straight year.
The winner of the ‘Most Trusted Consumer Products Brand’ was South Korean-based multi-national powerhouse Samsung. By now you will not be surprised to learn that Samsung also won the award last year.
So it seems the most trusted brands in Australia have been so for some time. But do these awards line up with your own experiences? Do you think Roy Morgan got it right?
