There was one sole winner of the $40 million division one Powerball draw last Thursday night … but the big cash prize is still unclaimed.

The winning ticket was sold to a single person (and not a syndicate) and was purchased in the Perth area. Gaming officials are hoping WA’s recent long weekend is behind the delayed claim and that the ticket hasn’t been lost.

For what it’s worth, the winning numbers of last week’s draw were 18, 14, 13, 16, 21, 19 and 29 with a Powerball of 18.

Personally, if I had won I wouldn’t be coming forward either. Wait a year or so and then present the ticket so hopefully you fly under the radar. That’s one reason I am not registered as I wouldn’t want my name and photo splashed all over the media to alert undesirables to my wearabouts and what I look like.
