Big W is recalling one of its stick vacuum cleaners.
The recall is for the Contempo Handstick Vacuum, model number BW-595, batch codes ending in /2021 and /2022 or batch code 010223.
This code can be found on the product label located on the end of the barrel.
The recall has been issued because components on the circuit board may overheat and catch fire if the vacuum short circuits or the incorrect charger is used. Several incidents of property damage have been reported.
Consumers should stop using affected vacuum cleaners immediately and return to any Big W store for a full refund.
