Thousands of Medibank customers are set to get money back in their pockets after the health insurance giant announced an extension of its ‘COVID-19 give back’ where the company promised to return any COVID savings the company experienced.
ll eligible customers will receive at least $50, though some could be eligible for up to $360 back depending on their level of coverage.
“On average it will be around $55 for [those who hold] extras only policies and around $165 for hospital and extras policies,” Medibank says on its webpage.
“We hope this helps ease the load in the face of rising household costs.”
All Medibank holders who have an active hospital and/or extras policy on June 30 will qualify for the refund, which will be paid by the end of September.
But rushing to sign up now is pointless, as you also need to have held a hospital and/or extra cover policy between 1 January and 30 June 2023.
Do you qualify for this refund?
