Do we even need more fast food?

There’s news US fast food giant Wendy’s is planning to expand into Australia.

For people of a certain age, this is not the first time the burger-and-fries chain has tried to move into the sector.

There were several Wendy’s back in the 80s and all failed spectacularly.

From memory the burger was not a burger at all but a strip of meat precariously laid across the middle of a square burger bun and cleanliness was not next to godliness in the one outlet I visited outside Geelong.

I for one, will be staying away.

Do we actually need another foreign fast food chain cluttering up our streets?

Having eaten in USA fast food places, and being unimpressed except for occasional convenience, I do not support it. Fresh food you select, prepare, enjoy, is always preferable. But, time is a factor.
