An interior designer has revealed the five colours she’d recommend to make your home look more expensive.
Designer Charlotte Surand told the Daily Mail painting your interior walls in one of these colours will “infuse any room with European luxury and elegance.”
The five colours are ‘smoked green’, ‘opulent ivory’, ‘regal burgundy’, ‘noble navy’ and ‘midnight slate’.
‘Smoked green’ is a dusty dark shade of green that brings a moody sophistication to any space, think the kind of colour Sherlock Holmes may have painted his study.
‘Opulent ivory’ is a brighter version of ivory that creates an upscale look. ‘Regal burgundy’ is a shade of deep red with notes of purple and brown that invokes images of royalty.
‘Noble navy’ is a hue of dark blue that makes a space feel calm while looking classy and timeless,” Ms Surand says.
The fifth paint colour, ‘midnight slate’ is a dark grey, almost charcoal, colour reminiscent of corporate boardrooms.
