Baggage handlers have agreed to strike across Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide airports on Monday.
Staff from ground crew and cargo company Dnata are striking over pay and conditions.
Workers will walk off the job for 24 hours and the action is expected to affect Qantas, Emirates and Etihad international flights. Virgin will not be affected by the strike.
Union representatives claim poor pay and conditions mean workers can’t afford to stay in the industry while a Dnata spokesman said it had provided a competitive pay offer but needed to ensure its business was financially sustainable.
Travellers should contact their travel agents or monitor the airlines’ website if they think they will be affected by the strike.
