Prince Harry has seemingly taken aim at everyone – apart from wife Meghan – in his new book, Spare.
The publicity machine has been pumping out snippets meant to stun and get you into the nearest bookshop to buy the book. In the latest snippet, he calls Queen Consort Camilla a “dangerous villain”.
He has also described a physical altercation with brother Prince William, the hoo-ha over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid’s dress, Meghan’s baby brain quip to Kate and on and on and on.
Yes, I’m guilty of reading these daily reports, but I feel desperately sorry for Harry. He needs to move on, live his life for himself and his family, stop creating an even greater rift with the royal family.
Hopefully the book is the last of it. Anything that happened after that should be kept in house.
Do you find the saga tantalising or just plain sad?

If, as Harry states, the press is the problem, why are not focusing on where the issues arise?
It is an interesting insight into how the Royal Family operate that members of the family separately leak to the press stories about other members of the Family. I think that would be pretty hard to take. A brother who leaks stories to the press, a father who does the same, the father’s wife who leaks. And no one is prepared to support Harry the junior and the spare.
I think the whole sage is interesting because it shows that a junior member of a royal institution can inflict massive damage on the Monarchy. This is a carefully orchestrated and well documented story about what happens behind closed doors.
Forget the press. If it’s a Murdoch press they are against Meghan – think racism and misogyny for there’s plenty of that being swirled around. And there are other press in the UK in particular who were never held to account for their actions in Diana’s death. They have been out to get both Meghan and Harry since they set up house in the UK. One sees this through nonsense reports – such as Meghan and Kate had a falling out whereas in reality that falling out was between William and Harry. So much rubbish and nonsense written; even more crap from worldwide press with a vested interest which is both misogynist and racist. All of this could have been avoided if the British press for example were accountable for what they write but they are not. They make up nasty personal spiteful stories about people and print them with absolutely no repercussions. Australia is not far behind – we are 70% media dominated by Murdoch so no suprises there.

I think Harry’s book is a ripping yarn. He might believe it himself (and obviously does), but he is going way over the top. Always somebody else’s fault and never his. His father and brother have to apologise! A work of fiction and I am waiting for the Readers Digest version to come out as I couldn’t possibly wade through 500-odd pages of vitriol. Perhaps it could be reduced to 50 pages or less.

Someone finally cut through the Murdoch press – the only way he could do this was via a Documentary Series, and now we see the Murdoch press doubling down …

The World Press is a law unto itself, with no rules to abide by. They print what they want, true or false, regardless of whom it hurts or upsets.

The trouble with your argument Kyeho, is that Harry has NOT in fact documented anything. He has made a whole series of allegations, many of which have either been repudiated as false in facts or have not been responded to in any way. As Dr Phil says, no matter how flat the pancake it still has two sides. We only have Harry’s version of events and most of those are petty squabbles that all families have from time to time. His drug taking for example is not news, at least not in the UK. It was well known at the time that Prince Charles as he was then, put Harry into treatment and then took him to see drug rehab centres and talk to the inmates. I notice this was not acknowledged by Harry. Harry and Meghan seem to place much store on a couple of things: taking responsibility for own actions, acknowledgement of wrongdoing and forgiveness. Precious little evidence of any of these things by the two of them.

OMG! Does Harry really believe he was born in case Williams needed organs? That’s the basis of the Jodie Picoult book My Sister’s Keeper. It gets weirder and weirder.
