Two people have been permanently banned from flying Cathay Pacific after a heated argument has erupted on a flight between Hong Kong and London over an age-old travel debate.
In a video posted to social media, a woman claims she was sitting with her seat reclined on the flight, when another passenger seated behind her tapped her on the shoulder and asked her to put her seat forward as her husband was unable to see the TV.
“I politely declined, and she started stretching her feet onto my armrest, kicking my arm and cursing at me like crazy,” the woman explained.
A flight attendant tried to intervene, suggesting the first passenger raise her seat, but she refused, causing the husband of the second woman to become enraged and start kicking the back of the first passenger’s seat.
Eventually the first passenger was allowed to move to a different seat and the second couple were banned from flying with Cathay Pacific again.
Look, it’s annoying when someone in the seat in front of you on a plane reclines. Nobody really likes it. But you are entitled to recline your seat, so who was in the wrong here?
