Apple has released iOS16, its latest operating system for iPhones and iPads – but it hasn’t come without its problems.
The update includes several new features including a completely redesigned lock screen, so eager users quickly downloaded the update after it was released last week.
But almost instantly, many users noticed their battery life had been affected negatively, with some noting their phones had lost 10 per cent power in under an hour.
Many frustrated users took to Twitter to discuss the issue.
“Experiencing a huge amount of battery drain on the official iOS 16 release. My battery went down 10% within an hour without even touching it,” said one user.
“Do NOT update to iOS 16 unless you want your battery to go from a 100 to 90 in 30 mins,” said another.
