There has been a major recall on garage door fobs.
Product Safety Australia has recalled 15 garage remotes with ‘Remote King’ or ‘Battery World’ branding.
The products are being recalled as they do not comply with standards for button/coin batteries and pose a risk to young children and infants.
Children can be at risk of choking, severe internal burn injuries or death if they gain access to the button/coin batteries and swallow them or place them inside their body. Severe or fatal injuries can happen in two hours or less.
Consumers may be unaware that the product contains button batteries.
Consumers should stop using the buttons immediately and return any affected product to Battery World for a full refund or replacement.
      Affected part numbers are:
      • BW-RCG10 or RK-RCG10
      • BW-RCM07 or RK-RCM07
      • BW-RCM12 or RK-RCM12
