A stage production of The Bodyguard, starring pop start Melody Thornton, was brought to a standstill and then cancelled after rowdy audience members would not stop singing along with the performers, particularly on the climactic track I Will Always Love You.
The offenders were thrown out by venue security, but didn’t go quietly, and their removal sparked what has been described as a ‘mini-riot’ which saw the show stopped completely.
The incident has raised questions about patrons behaviour at the theatre.
