Google implemented a new user interface for Gmail back in February allowing users the opportunity to sample it throughout testing. But as of today, they have changed the new-look interface to opt-out instead of opt-in. This means that one day soon you may login to a new look Gmail interface.

Not a lot has actually changed if i’m honest with you. Instead of having items such as ‘Google Chat’, ‘Rooms’ and ‘Meet’ open on the left-hand-side of your screen, tabs have now been introduced for Chat, Spaces, Meet etc allowing more room for your email management.

Have you tried the new interface? Do you like it?

I use gmail as it allows me to put a photo into the body of the email whereas my Yahoo emails do not. My main email provider is Yahoo so if I need to send a photo I use gmail and send it to my Yahoo address and send it on from there. I find gmail useful and it works for me.

I started a gmail account but very seldom used it, preferring my usual email available from my ISP.

So long since I’ve accessed gmail … have no absolutely no idea what may be there.

Use Gmail when I need to attach a larger file…Yahoo has a lower limit compared to Gmail and invariably ends up in the outbox..

As long as Gmail did’t follow up their Gmail Mail System changes of a year or so ago, with more onerous system changes. The GMS now insists that email it receives must come from an email address and an email server that share the same domain name.
