They’ve become an iconic part of the Australian winter and you’d be hard-pressed to leave the house and not see somebody wearing one. We’re talking about the humble puffer jacket – which was actually invented by an Australian back in the 1930s.
Now, popular Instagram account The Aussie Corporate has decided to cause some chaos by ranking the different brands of puffer jacket available here – and their opinion is causing quite a stir.
According to the page, Patagonia is the best puffer jacket money can buy.
Canada Goose, Moncler, and Brunello Cucinelli all came out on top and were dubbed ‘luxury puffer jackets’. R.M Williams, Gant and Arc’teryx rounded out the top placegetters.
Some of the more popular brands were controversially ranked lower. North Face, Gazman, Ralph Lauren, Uniqlo, and Lululemon were only ranked as mid-level.
And Columbia, Kathmandu and Macpac ranked as low – probably the most commonly seen puffer jacket brands in Australia.
