Tens of thousands of NSW motorists are missing out on money by not lodging a toll claim with the state government, the ABC is reporting.
In NSW, eligible motorists can claim the toll relief rebate, which grants 40 per cent of all toll fees paid back each quarter. Motorists have up to 12 months to lodge their claim.
You become eligible for the toll after spending a minimum of $375 on NSW toll roads.
So far, the NSW has paid out around $167 million in rebates, which is good, but is a lot less than the $500 million set aside for the project. Which means many people who are eligible are not claiming.
