Did you see a media personality has been sacked for poor behaviour at a Christmas party?
I must be a bit out of the loop because I had no idea who he was, but it he has been splashed across all forms of media, and it appear he has ‘form’ in this area having been previously reprimanded at similar events.
We’ve all seen some shabby performances at Christmas parties due to overindulgence and many of them I certainly couldn’t share with you here.
Probably two of my more publishable ones are a woman who laughed so hard her teeth fell out and hit the boss on the chest and a senior member of staff who made a point of walking the whole office and apologising to everyone the morning after. He wasn’t that odious, just after a few drinks made his position on the competence of more senior staff very clear. Thankfully management had a sense of humour on that one and he kept his job.
Do you think office Christmas parties should be reigned in? Should the emphasis be taken off the element of alcohol?
