Data from the Bonds annual Baby Search has revealed the most popular baby names cropping up in the first half of 2024.
The clothing manufacturers annual advertising drive attracts parents and their newborns from across the country. Bonds tallied the names that appeared the most in their auditions.
And rather than some fancy modern name, it’s some old favourites that have topped the list.
Oliver took out top spot for male names, followed by Noah in second and Hudson in third. A (possible) girl’s name didn’t appear on the list until fifth position where the androgynous Charlie came in. Charlie, of course can be short for the male name Charles or the female name Charlotte.
The first definitively female name on the list was Isla at position seven. Bonds says older, more traditional names have become more popular in recent years.
