Mitsubishi Motors has issued an urgent recall for almost 7500 vehicles.
They are vehicles sold in Australia from 2020 to 2022 and include the ASX, Eclipse Cross, Express, Mirage, Outlander, Pajero, Pajero Sport, and Triton models.
The problem is a potentially fatal missing warning label to protect small children from choking.
Some car key fobs supplied with the vehicles did not have the necessary warning about a button battery. In June last year, the government mandated that all products with button batteries had to be produced in a way so children could not access them.
Mitsubishi says to enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) here to check whether your vehicle is subject to the recall.
It says if you own a privately imported Mitsubishi (Grey Import), please visit the ‘contact us’ page and complete the details on your vehicle so it can advise of any outstanding recalls required.
If you are unsure where to find your vehicle’s VIN, consult your Owner’s Manual.
