A noodle product has been urgently recalled from stores in three states due to fears it could cause an adverse reaction in some consumers.
Food Standards Australia has issued an alert advising that Shaanxi Cold Noodle (Noodle + Seasoning 186g package, containing noodle 80g) products have been pulled from shelves.
The item has been available for sale at Asian supermarkets in NSW, the ACT and Victoria and has a best before date of 11 July 2023.
Authorities say the noodles have been recalled due to the presence of an undeclared allergen – peanut.
“Any consumers who have a peanut allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,” advises Food Standards Australia.
“Consumers who have a peanut allergy or intolerance should not consume this product and should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.”
