Survey group Roy Morgan has announced Australia’s most trusted brands and despite all the hate out there for supermarkets at the moment, the winner is Woolworths.

Not only did the group win Best of the Best this year as well as Most Trusted Retail Brand it also won last year.

Other winners were: Retail – Bunnings; Department and Discount Department Stores – Kmart; Consumer Products – Samsung; Services – Australia Post; Charities – Salvation Army; Technology – Apple; Travel and Tourism – Virgin Australia; Food and Beverage – Cadbury; Automotive – Toyota; Non-Bank Financial Services – PayPal; Superannuation – AustralianSuper; Insurance – NRMA; Private Health Insurance – HBF; Utilities– Synergy; Government Services – CSIRO; Media – ABC; Mining and Petroleum – Fortescue Metals; Banks – Bendigo Bank; Telecommunications – Aussie Broadband.

Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine says the 20 winners in the Roy Morgan Trusted Brand Awards have outperformed their competitors by maintaining consistently high levels of trust, and minimal distrust, in a challenging environment of high inflation and rising interest rates.

“The vast majority of Australia’s most trusted brands have backed up their performance from a year ago and confirmed their market-leading positions with consecutive wins in their categories, Mr Levine says.

Do you agree with these winners? What other brands do you trust?
