You’d have to be living under a rock not to notice the impact Taylor Swift has been having on culture around the world.

One of her more visible influences has been the scores of friendship bracelets the ‘Swifties’ swap at her concerts. It’s become so iconic that the Victoria and Albert Museum in London has consulted with a Swiftie superfan to ‘inform the collection’.

The museum is also engaging experts on other modern culture phenomena such as Pokemon cards, Lego, Crocs and emojis.

Imagine being an expert on Crocs.

The museum’s director Dr Tristram Hunt told The Guardian: “These new advisory roles will help us celebrate and discover more about the enormous, and often surprising, creative diversity on offer at the V&A, as well as helping us to learn more about the design stories that are relevant to our audiences today.”

So could you be a secret expert?

I’m a nerdy needlpointer, I can identify a designer at 100 paces, but no one wants to know that piece of useless knowledge.

What specialist subject you could advise the V&A on?
