Severe storms will hit most of the country over the next few days, with downpours already occurring in South Australia, with Adelaide’s CBD and surrounding suburbs flooded.
The Bureau of Meteorology says the large storm fronts will move across Queensland, NSW and Victoria in coming days, dumping up to 100mm of rain in the process.
Residents are being warned to prepare for flash flooding and damaging winds, with gusts of more than 100km/h predicted.
