Some TikTok are recommending putting a full (fresh) roll of toilet paper in the fridge to absorb moisture and smells. Okaaay.

Apparently it’s a cheaper alternative to fridge deodorisers and bi-carb soda.

I’m not sure how I’d feel about opening a friend’s fridge and finding a whole roll of toilet paper, but I’ve definitely seen worse.

Lifestyle website Parade recommended the practice, but the roll only lasts a month and should be thrown out after. Which is something I would have thought goes without saying, but then again, I would have never thought of the idea in the first place.

Someone else claimed a fridge-fresh toilet roll can also be used as an ice-pack, claiming it stays chilled for up to eight hours.

I’m going to stick to vanilla fridge wipe.

Would you try this life ‘hack’.

Never tried that one. However, I do know that keeping a sheet of paper towel in the lettuce container in the fridge certainly seems to keep the lettuce fresher and crisper. And putting a sheet of paper towel in with a loaf of bread before freezing it, seems to improve the quality of the bread when you thaw it out, stops it going soft and mushy from the moisture as it thaws.

      Tried the toilet roll trick.
Two days later some wise guy had smeared
some Hot English Mustard Paste on the paper.
      Ugh!
