It’s hard to imagine grown “adult” people fighting over a glass jar. Who csre what the shape is, they should be more conceerned over the contents, not the conatainer shape , size, or material. How childish.
FrankCParticipantNowadays, the majority of pepople book their yickets online. If a 200kg person books a flight, is that person going to book two seats or one ?, How is the airline going to ‘police’ this
FrankCParticipantyes, that’s right. It is as bad as using Sodium Lauryl sulphate in your shower gel, shampoo, liquid hand wash. It is a skin irritant and can damage your eyes; it penetrates the skin and can cause a change in your DNA. It can also cause hair loss. One of its uses is as a garage floor cleaner if you have a dirty oily floor, and it is used to clean dirty greasy tools. And you’re putting this on your body in the shower and your hair.
FrankCParticipantI think they should look at flights from Devonport to destinations like Sydney Gold coast Brisbane and Cairns, and even Hobart. For any opf those , you have to travel to Launceston for your flight. and I don’t think you can fly to Hobart from Launceston, that is bad. and you can’t fly to Launnie from Devomport., but one to Hobart would certainly help the hospitality industry down that way. Not a good set up as it is.
5 December 2022 at 11:54 am in reply to: Why can’t doctors let you know they are running late? #1783695FrankCParticipantI had a an appointment at my surgery, and after one hour of waiting, got up and went to the reception and complained that an hour waitingn is far too long, and was about to make another appointment, when the doctor came out of her room and waived to me indicating she was free, so I kept my belated appointment . I told her I waas about to go home as I do not like sitting for an houyr in a waiting room. She apologised asd said she had a long consultation (!!) which wasn’t expected, it wopuld have bveen nice if she had informwed the recepption people ofwhich there are 4, that she would be running late and inform the next patirent. I was lucky to get in to see her after a week waiting, sometimes if you want to see a doctor, it is no good expecting to see the one you want, if you don’t mind witing 7 – 10 days, so you pick anyone, after all there are 15 medics at our surgery, and when you can’t get then one you want, you are offered 2 otherxs (only) that can take you, good thingn the computers are all onm line within the practice.
FrankCParticipantCould not agree with you more Tood. There has been so much greed in real estate in the past yeaar, where in S.E. Qld. property rices jumped 50% or more. It seemed that people in the southern states realised they could work from home, and wanted to live in a warmer clime than Victoria or NSW ..Of course, Real estate agents suppoorted that, some wanted a Carribean holiday, some a new EV, and whatevr your mind can bring up. Up there, they ask you, in the ad for the house, “What wopuld you pay for this property ?”. and you fill in the answer, but you never know what the finl price is, or what someone else has paid. ! What I call a silent auction. I had a go at one of the agents about that berfore I called them greedy bastards
FrankCParticipantPetrol is also highly effective ! a piece of cloth tied to a stick, soak in petrol, and dab onto the weed. Not when it is going to rain.
19 July 2022 at 2:12 pm in reply to: Where to buy your appliances and the retailers to avoid #1712203FrankCParticipantWe have bought major appliances from Appliances online/Winning appliances when living in Qld. , and have been very satisfied. with their Customer , and after sales service. Have noticed Harvey Norman items are overpriced, so I avoid them We don’t have Appliances online in Tassie, we have H.N. but ignore. We use Fergie’s Betta electrical in Launceston, for price and service . including delivery to Latrobe 98 kms away, for a very sensible and nominal charge ..
