If the Government changes their mind and allows Nuclear Power Plants, it will be at least 2030 or later when the first units could be brought online.
It will take upwards of a decade to built and test and commission a full size Nuclear Power Station.
As for SMR’s, they, at the moment, do not exist, they are in the design and development stage with the first units scheduled for testing sometime between 2025 & 2030 depending which source you read, and then at least another 5 years before they will be commercially available.
In the meantime, what is the solution to our Power Supply & Distribution problems ??

Why would anyone be amazed at what our waste water reveals ??
Just think back to the not too distant past, when the various State Governments were giving COVID-19 readings by the Suburb, not just the City.
Therefore if they can do that, by variation, it is not surprising that they can also detect various other chemicals and drugs.

The vehicles that I have had since 2007 have all had Daytime Running Lights, as do just about ALL new cars. It may be the fact that ALL cars have the capability, but it’s whether or not the Driver enables them.

Whether you think this rule is reasonable or not, it’s not a new or obscure rule.
It’s been in effect in South Australia since the mid 60’s.

We had a Silk Air flight from Chang Mai to Singapore for a connecting flight home to Australia, the aircraft was one and a half hours late into Chang Mai, which meant that we would not make the connecting flight in Singapore. We were put up in the Crowne Plaza Changi for 24 hours,, until our flight home the next night, with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
I am sure that that would not happen here !!

FranC, what is the difference between what British Imperialism did and what the Portuguese, Spanish, French, Dutch, and Germans did during that period in history.

Totally agree. Putting up interest rates, especially Mortgage Rates, only affect a small portion of the population IE:- the less than 25% of home owners who still have a Mortgage. These are the people who are struggling and an increasing number are going into Mortgage Stress.
The 75% of home owners who are Mortgage free are only affected by increases in consumer prices.
I am in that 25%, being a part pensioner with a mortgage (forced into retirement on health grounds), and boy is it hurting. I just wish that my income was going up as quickly as my mortgage repayments, 3% verses 12% over the past 12 months !!!!!
Then there is excessive profits being taken by some companies / corporations is absolutely criminal, where they put Profits above People.
