If I received good service over and above being treated as an irritant in the staff’s time, as we often are, I don’t mind leaving a tip for the staff who respected our presence there.

I totally agree with Allen Gilchrist. We need building and construction workers to at least try to meet the Government’s plan for new homes. Not that it can be achieved. It was a kneejerk reaction to the current housing crisis.
We should set a lower but honest target by not listening to polies or bureaucrats but talk with builders and developers. You can’t build more homes if you don’t have the land and councils aren’t processing plans from developers. The first rule of building is the more land available, the cheaper it becomes. It’s not rocket science just common sence.
I have been a real estate agent and valuer for over 50 years.

Regarding recalls, would it be possible to show photos of the products/containers they come in?
    I think it would help.

Saying the “average” wage is $94,000 is crazy. If you took out wages over $100,000 and wages under $50,000 you would have a real figure. I feel the real average wage paid should be around $75,000. The ABS figures are skewed by including pensioner payments. A wage should only be income for actual work done by the recipient, and nothing else.

Very little good popular music came out after 1973.
That’s why I love listening to the music of the ’60s & early ’70s. The music has catchy beats, you can understand the lyrics and can chose the volume to suit your mood. Steve O.
