How healthily do you eat? The School of Health Sciences research team at the University of Newcastle want to help you find out.
The research team has developed the Healthy Eating Quiz – an online questionnaire designed to rate how healthy your eating habits are. It can help to identify areas in which you are already eating healthily and where you can improve.
Since no single food can contain all the nutrients your body requires to stay in tip-top shape, a healthy diet should consist of a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, wholegrains, proteins and fats. The more widely you eat within these food groups, the better your brain and body will be able to perform.
The Healthy Eating Quiz is a guide for the general population and not for those with specific medical or nutritional requirements, such as food allergies.
At the end of the quiz, you receive your results with feedback on your current eating habits. The test can be done several times, so you can return to it to check your progress if you choose to make improvements in your diet.
