As Pauline Hanson and her One Nation party prepare for an assault on the upcoming state and federal elections, support has come in the form of one of Australia’s greatest supporters.
Dick Smith, former Australian of the Year, has thrown his weight behind One Nation, and is preparing to meet Ms Hanson before Christmas to formally give her his ‘endorsement’.
After initial conversations the pair have realised that their views on many things, such as policy on immigration and Julian Assange, are definitely aligned. However, one point of view that they don’t see eye-to-eye on is Muslim immigration. “I agree with her views on immigration numbers, that is about 70,000 a year, not 200,000. But I do not agree with her views on Muslim immigration,” Dick Smith said.
