This Australian state won’t have a dry Christmas this year.

This year’s weather forecast suggests that while the majority of Australia will celebrate a scorching hot and dry holiday season like usual, one state might just be the exception.

At YourLifeChoices, we understand that weather plays a crucial role in planning holiday festivities, especially for our members who might prefer a more comfortable climate.

With that, here’s an in-depth forecast of the weather across Australia in the holiday season.

While most will welcome Christmas in true Australian fashion of sun, surf, and sunhats, Victoria, known for its ‘four seasons in one day’, might reportedly escape the scorching heat and experience a cooler holiday.

The weather forecast in Melbourne, the coastal capital of the southeastern Australian state, hints at milder temperatures and a chance of rain, offering a temporary relief from the heat that the rest of the country will likely be experiencing.

This could mean a more traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, without the need to turn on the air conditioning. It’s also a perfect opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities such as family gatherings and festive events, without the risk of heat-related conditions.

According to Accuweather, the lead-up to December 25th will also see a mix of showers and cloudy days in Sydney.

Christmas Day will still be sunny with a high of 26 degrees and a low of 20 degrees for the residents of Harbour City before the rain sets in in the evening. This sunny streak will continue the next day, Boxing Day, with a high of 28 degrees and a low of 21 degrees.

In preparation, make sure to keep an umbrella handy prior to heading out.

Meanwhile, here are the weather forecasts for the rest of the country.

Adelaide is set to bask in plenty of sunshine, making it an ideal spot for outdoor celebrations, while Brisbane, Darwin, and Perth are gearing up for their usual warm weather.
