If you’re over 55 and are looking for a radio show that deals with the issues important to you, then why not take a listen to A senior moment or two?
Each week the show deals with an issue or subject of special interest to over 55s and brings the audience up to date with services and events of potential interest. This information is combined with nostalgia in the form of music and comedy from bygone years. And there’s chat about the latest books, monthly reviews of movies, a catch-up of current theatre events in Sydney and at Glen St Theatre, and monthly reports from the three Northern Beaches Mayors on events and programs for seniors in their areas.
There are in-studio and phone interviews on a wide range of subjects of interest to seniors – anything from bee keeping and solving cryptic crosswords, to therapy classes for Parkinson sufferers and advice to those potentially threatened by bush fires
Each month, on the last Friday, the program is presented live from a Northern Retirement Village. On these occasions we have live music and comedy and a quiz for the residents.
A senior moment or two is presented by David Harris, supported by Ellis Hoffman, at 11am on Fridays on Radio Northern Beaches 88.7 or 90.3 on the FM band and repeated on Saturdays at 1pm. Those out of the area can listen on line by going to RNB.org.au
