Richie Benaud, one of cricket’s most-loved players and commentators, has died aged 84. Benaud was Australia’s record-breaking leg-spinner and captain, before becoming a journalist and broadcaster – possibly the most famous and impersonated personality the sport has ever seen. Why not listen to what was supposed to be his last words as a commentator at the 2005 Ashes series in England?
He also had a terrific sense of humour, as you can see from this TV ad for lamb on Australia Day.
