There's typically a shift in your financial situation when you retire or semi-retire. So it's great that there's a system in place to help seniors save money while still enjoying day to day activities - from local shopping and dining, to travel, entertainment and shows. From luxuries like days out to necessities like haircuts and groceries, and many, many more.

Whether it's a new hearing aid, discounts on dining out or fun activities to enjoy with your grandkids, seniors living in Queensland have access to exclusive deals and discounts.

Hundreds of businesses have signed up to offer you these discounts, so the team at Senior Savings have put together a list of the best deals in Queensland to help you plan your next day out.

There are three types of Seniors Cards available in Queensland. The standard Seniors Card, Seniors Card+go and a Seniors Business Discount Card.

Everyday savings - Save on your energy bill.

If you're a senior, This tip could save you hundreds off your next bill, whether you're a homeowner or in a rental situation. Many of Australia's energy market regulators recommend that older Australian energy customers review their bills annually. This is because energy providers have been able to change rates without informing their customers. If you're a loyal customer, and you've been on the same plan for over 5 years, you could be paying hundreds more than someone who has just signed up.

With prices on the rise, older Aussies deserve the chance to find a better deal. Why should you be paying more for the exact same thing, simply because you're not a market expert?

Hot tip: Use a comparison service that rewards senior switchers by giving them access to no-markup policies from energy providers across Australia. An energy comparison service makes it easy to find the best deals in your area. This makes comparison shopping for energy easy, and best of all it's totally cost and obligation-free.
