Leon Della Bosca recently returned from a cruise in Alaska with Holland America Line and joins host John Deeks to talks about the ship, the cruise and the destination.
“It’s so beautiful and so difficult to explain,” says Leon, who’s not often caught speechless.
Travelling as a guest of Holland America Line, Leon enjoyed an amazing seven-day cruise and today takes you through his itinerary (and the menus), and the incredible experiences he had along the way.
Day 1: Depart Vancouver, BC
Day 2: Scenic cruising
Day 3: Juneau, Alaska (the most remote, beautiful and strangest of capital cities)
Day 4: Skagway, Alaska (gateway to the legendary gold fields and home to ‘Diamond Lil’)
Day 5: Glacier Bay (listen for the creaks and groans of the living ice)
Day 6: Ketchikan (Alaska’s first city and salmon fishing hub)
Day 7: Arrive Vancouver
