The Apple iPhone is hands down the king of the Australian smartphone market. We’ve found the best deals on the latest iPhone 15 models so you can stay up to date with the latest tech.
More than half (about 58 per cent) of all phones sold in Australia are iPhones – and its not hard to see why. The iPhone is sleek, fast, and extremely user-friendly, making it the ideal phone for older people.
The current iPhone 15 lineup comes in four modes including the base iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The smaller iPhone 15 features a 6.1-inch Super Retina OLED display, a 48-megapixel camera and USB-C charging (finally).
The iPhone Plus has a larger 6.7-inch screen, but for most people the base model iPhone 15 will be more than adequate, unless you really want the larger screen.
For those who want the latest and greatest, you’ll want to look at the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models. Both models use Apple’s latest A17 processor for lightning-fast speeds and also a larger graphics processor for the highest fidelity graphics.
The main difference between the Pro and Pro Max models is again the difference between the 6.1 and 6.7-inch screens, although the Pro Max does boast slightly more battery life (23 vs 29 hours).
The iPhone 15, 15 Plus and Pro models are available with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of storage space, while the Pro is also available in a 1TB model. The Pro Max is available in all sizes apart from 128GB.
If you’re looking to get a new iPhone 15 on a plan, these are the cheapest we could find through our friends at WhistleOut. We looked for plans that include the phone, unlimited calls/texts and at least 5GB of data.

An aspect not included in the comparisons of the plans is – coverage.
Vodaphone isn’t even in the picture for many areas away from the big cities.
That is where Telstra shines. Optus tries but still doesn’t equal Telstra.
If you are a grey nomad and are either travelling or intending to travel away from the frequently beaten paths, Telstra is the performance standard.
Note that Aldi, for example, uses Telstra for their network, but it is not complete. It is not all of the Telstra coverage.
And it doesn’t matter what brand of mobile phone you are using, coverage can matter when you need it most.
Another point to consider is connectivity to your vehicle. (Even if you are driving a legacy vehicle that predates blue tooth connectivity, one can purchase a stand alone GPS that gives the user handsfree mobile phone connection.) Some car manufacturers tripped badly with smart phone connectivity, but worth checking before committing.
