In recent years, the Google-owned Gmail has overtaken the Microsoft-owned Hotmail as the world’s most used email service. While Gmail has kept things ‘as is’ over the past few years, the latest update for desktops is of great significance to those used to a more traditional setup in Microsoft Outlook.
Prior to the latest update, right-clicking on a message in your inbox gave you a drop-down list with limited options. This new update has fully re-worked what appears in the drop-down list, now allowing users to ‘Reply’, ‘Reply all’, ‘Forward’, ‘Archive’, ‘Delete’, ‘Mark as unread’ or ‘Snooze’ the email. Furthermore, you can ‘Move to’, ‘Label as’ the email, or even ‘Mute’ the sender through this method.
