Qantas Frequent Flyer and Uber have announced a scheme where passengers in the popular car-ride service can earn points.
It’s not a straight up points earning opportunity for every ride though. You have to be travelling to or from Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Canberra, Gold Coast, Hobart, Maroochydore, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Townsville, Newcastle, Toowoomba, Avalon or Byron Bay.
You also need to make the booking from the Qantas app and you’ll have to pre-link your Uber account with your Qantas account prior to booking your ride.
And the higher ranked you are within the Frequent Flyer program, the more points you’ll earn. For example, Gold, Platinum, Platinum One and Chairmans Lounge members earn three points per Aussie dollar spent, while Silver members earn two points per dollar and Bronze members earn one point per dollar spent.
And if you haven’t yet registered with Uber, you’ll get a bonus 2000 points when you sign up then link your account to the Qantas app.
