As grey nomads start their journey north to avoid the worst of winter, there’s a stop-off point in Brisbane that could be a boon for your adventure.
The Let’s Go Queensland Caravan and Camping Supershow is on at the Brisbane Showgrounds on 5-9 June and it will be featuring everything from luxury motorhomes to affordable trailers and all the gear you need in between.
The massive five-day event will host almost 250 exhibitors showcasing the largest range of caravans, camper trailers, motorhomes, tent trailers, campervans, tow vehicles and accessories.
New to the event this year is the RV Touring Stage, featuring daily presentations to answer burning questions about how to journey on the road less travelled.
Towing advice
Given the amount of accidents involving inexperienced caravan users, Caravanning Queensland’s popular Weight, Towing and Touring Masterclasses are back and will be a vital addition to this year’s supershow. Jeff Palmer (Tow-Ed QLD) and Gary Gardiner (Total Towing Setups) are ready to arm you with vital information and tips to ensure you hit the road on your next caravan adventure safely, and with confidence.
Participants will be eligible for a prize pack valued at $1545, which includes a towing course, weight compliance check and $500 voucher.
Visitors to the show can watch daily campfire cooking demonstrations by Mick, The Camp Oven Cook. Discover how to get started, manage heat, and master the art of camp oven cooking with Mick’s expert guidance. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to enhance your camp oven cooking skills during his daily demonstrations.
Gear up
Daily presentations from Hema Maps, Workabout Australia, RACQ and Drive Queensland will arm you with tips and valuable information to confidently explore the vast expanses of Australia.
Exhibitors include caravan and camper dealers, holiday and camping parks, and retailers for items such as lighting, packing modules, towing mirrors and gear, batteries and even composting toilets.
One lucky show visitor will have the opportunity to win a Stoney Creek Scout X Off-Road Hybrid Caravan valued at $43,990.
