Your next holiday just got a whole lot easier thanks to, you guessed it, Google.
With the way technology continues to evolve travel arrangements, we rely on our phones more than ever when it comes to confirmations, directions, tickets and research. Unsurprisingly, Google has picked up on this and made life easier by collating all this information in the one place.
Easily one of the most useful travel apps around, Google Trips pools all the reservation information from your Gmail account. It means you’ll never have to desperately search for a booking confirmation again. The app also offers sightseeing suggestions ‘for the day’ for 200 major cities in the form of itineraries featuring popular sites. If that isn’t impressive enough, the itineraries even take into account the distance between said sites allowing you to see as much as possible without wasting valuable time – or getting lost!
You can also choose to only follow part of a proposed itinerary and the app will help to suggest other spots you may wish to visit based on your location. Additionally, there are helpful facts for the city you’re in, such as the best way to get to and from the airport, when and how much to tip and where to go in case of emergency.
If you’re travelling in a group, you also have the option to share all your reservation details with your travel companions or emergency contacts and relatives back home.
All maps and tools can be downloaded in advance and used offline, so not even a lack of wifi or internet can get in the way of your plans. This app is a no-brainer for your next trip … if only everything in life could be so straightforward.
RRP: Free from the Apple iTunes and Google Play stores.
